Stitched Loin Cloth - Cotton White with Pink Border (Set of 2)
All Strī Dharma students would be well aware of the importance of the Kaupīna or the loin cloth. This simple innerwear is a great astra to regulate the lower apāna vāyu, thereby conserving precious prāṇa, filling us with energy to do day-to-day tasks. When the apāna vāyu is well regulated, the mind naturally lifts itself from lower thoughts and emotions. As a result, a Kaupīna Dhārin (one who is wearing a loin cloth) has a calmer mind, better control over the senses and the energetic ability to perform physical tasks. Also remember to never take a bath without one of these, as the shastra has taught us!
But students have been confused about how thick it should be, how long, how wide and so on. So, we have put together the nicest cotton materials suitable for each type of kaupīna presented below. Try it and see :-)
Note that the actual colours and designs might slightly vary from the photos shared below.
We have used thick Fabric material for the stitched Kaupina. Here, along with the edges, a tying belt is also stitched to the kaupina itself. The stitched kaupina need not be folded while wearing.
Watch the demo videos in the Stri Dharma Online Module if you are not sure of how to use the stitched Kaupina.
