Kajjala/Kajal - Collyrium

Prepared using pure ghee from indigenous/Desi cows, this traditional Collurium (Kajal) is crafted following time-honoured methods that have been passed down through generations. Unlike commercially manufactured kajals that may contain synthetic ingredients, this Kajal is made with carefully selected natural ingredients and pure Desi cow ghee, giving it a rich, smooth texture and deep black colour.

As all natural Kajals, this will smudge and in the process, cleanse the eye. So, it is best used at night, before going to bed. Also, due to its rich pigmentation, it is sufficient to apply a very little quantity of this Kajal for a dark black colour.                                                                                                                                                            As given in Stri Dharma, it regulates the alocaka pitta situated in the eye, which is responsible for maintaining healthy eyesight. It is advised to be applied daily. However, day time application of the kajal should be avoided in the following scenarios - just after a head bath, just after a full meal, during menstruation, when it is raining or very hot outside, during fever, indigestion, or when experiencing fear or fatigue.
